Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30

Maxi-Cosi is back with a car seat that’s going to rock the baby market! The Mico Max 30 is the newest member of the Maxi-Cosi family, boasting a whopping 30 lb weight limit, while still being one of the lightest premium car seats in its class. This new CRS is packed with features that everyone is sure to love!

The Mico Max 30 has a weight range of 4-30 lbs, with a low birth weight insert, that must be used if your baby weighs between 4 and 6 pounds. It also has a shorter harness height, making it easier and safer for preemies. Height range of 19-32 inches, with the shell of the seat coming in at 21 inches, the child’s head must not come within 1 inch of the top of the shell. The seat weighs a mere 8.9lbs making it easy on the biceps. With an expiration of 8 years, why not have a few more!

The Mico Max 30 features a new anti-rebound bar, preventing the seat from shifting in the event of a collision. Air Protect – Superior Side Impact Protection keeps head and neck stable from any impact afflicted on the side of the vehicle. Plus one click latch system makes install easy, meaning a safer ride!

The new seat features machine washable and DRYER SAFE material. With material this easy to clean milk spills and blow outs won’t seem so daunting! Yeah right!

Mico Max 30 makes travel easier, allowing you to install the seat with or without a base. When installing the seat with the base, you can only use UAS OR seat belt, never the two together. The car seat is only tested with one or the other, never both. Despite what some people might think, less is better in this case.

If installing the seat without the base the only way to install the seat properly is with seatbelt. Making sure the lap portion of the belt is over the top of the seat, through the belt path on either side. With a proper installation the seat should have less than an inch of movement when gently pulled at the base from either side.

The seat install is very simple, and can be done quickly in most mid-size vehicles. The base is fairly longer than most, but shouldn’t discourage those in smaller vehicles.
